Dreamforce 2026 recap: what shipped, what is dated, and what to do Monday
Three days, one interface layer, a reasoning model with a name, seven named agents, two hyperscaler deals and a rename reversal. This is the whole of Dreamforce 2026 sorted by what you can use today versus what has a date on it, with a link to a full write-up on each announcement and a Monday list for admins, builders and buyers.
Dreamforce 2026 ran from September 15 to 17 at Moscone. Salesforce counts more than 50,000 people in the building and 122,000 watching on Salesforce+. Dario Amodei and Jensen Huang joined Marc Benioff on the Tuesday keynote stage, which tells you the two themes before anyone said a word: Anthropic’s models inside Salesforce, and Salesforce’s own model built on NVIDIA’s.
I have written a post on nearly every announcement over the past ten days. This one is the map. Each item below gets the facts, the availability Salesforce has published, and a link to the longer piece. If you read one thing from Dreamforce, read the Monday list at the end.
The headline was an interface layer, not a product
AIforce was the word on the keynote screen. Salesforce describes it as a live interface layer above Data 360, Customer 360 and Agentforce that pushes your data, workflows and permissions into whatever tool the user is in: Claude, Slack, Lightning, an API.
Patrick Stokes’ line, that the value of Salesforce was never in the UI, is the thesis. I covered what AIforce is under the branding, and in plain terms it is Headless 360’s MCP servers and APIs packaged into things you can switch on.
The branded versions are the ones that shipped. Claudeforce, the Anthropic partnership, is now in beta for all customers, up from the pilot it was in August.
The Claudeforce questions page has the current answers on cost and availability, and the plugin guide has the pilot plan. Slackforce is Slackbot with live Salesforce surfaces inside Slack, and Slackforce Surfaces is available now on the Business+ and Enterprise+ plans. Agentforce Coworker, the agent in the Lightning search bar, is available to all customers.
Models: Koa in pilot, Gemini GA, Bedrock open
Koa is Salesforce’s first CRM reasoning model, built on NVIDIA’s Nemotron 3 Super and post-trained on synthetic CRM scenarios with, Salesforce says, no customer data. The claim is that it matches or exceeds leading models on CRM actions with three times fewer errors on Salesforce’s own benchmark.
Koa is in pilot with six named customers, and general availability is expected in winter 2026 in US regions only. My Koa write-up has the reasons to be interested and the reasons to wait, and if you are outside the US the second list is longer.
Two other model items shipped for real. Gemini is generally available inside the Agentforce Reasoning Engine and in Prompt Builder. And Agentforce can now call Anthropic and NVIDIA models through Amazon Bedrock, with OpenAI models to follow. Between Salesforce-hosted, Google-hosted and AWS-hosted lanes, the model selection decision now includes which cloud your security team has already approved.
Seven named agents and a runtime that works for weeks
Four days before Dreamforce, Salesforce gave its agents names and job titles. Casey for customer service, Fin from the Intercom acquisition, Paige for IT and HR, Carter for shopping, Marshall for supply chain, Piper for inbound leads, and Hunter for outbound sales.
Six are generally available. Hunter is in pilot with GA in November, and it is the first agent on the new long-horizon runtime, which lets an agent pursue a goal across days and weeks with memory, durable execution and human checkpoints.
I covered what a named agent is under the hood and what the long-horizon runtime changes. The number Salesforce attached to all of this was 7 billion agentic work units delivered across Agentforce and Slack over two years, 3.2 billion of them in the last quarter, and 30,000 customers on the platform.
Agent operations got the best demo
The Agentforce keynote’s most useful ten minutes were Agent Optimizer tracing a spike in escalated refunds to a gap in a router configuration, proposing the fix, and writing the regression tests. It goes GA in October and needs session tracing in Data 360 switched on first. The Optimizer post covers what to enable before then.
Around it sits the governance story. The Trusted Enterprise AI Harness, announced on September 10, is six capabilities drawn from Data 360, Informatica, MuleSoft’s Agent Fabric, Tableau, Agentforce and a product Salesforce calls Salesforce Guardian, with an AI Control Plane to register, identify and govern agents across platforms.
Salesforce says many of the underlying technologies are available today, with the unified experience starting in early fiscal FY28. My Control Plane post separates what exists from the roadmap.
One name to be careful with. Some coverage describes Salesforce Guardian as the new name for the Einstein Trust Layer. Salesforce’s own security site describes Guardian as its bundle of add-on security and privacy products, and I could not find a press release that says the Trust Layer was renamed. Until Salesforce says it, treat Guardian as the security product family and the Trust Layer as the Trust Layer.
Two hyperscaler deals, different shapes
The Google Cloud announcement is about where Salesforce runs. Hyperforce on Google Cloud reaches general availability in North America in November, Gemini is inside the reasoning engine now, Salesforce is reachable from Gemini Enterprise through MCP, and Commerce Cloud gets checkout inside Google Search and the Gemini app in October through the Universal Commerce Protocol.
The Google post covers the infrastructure, and the UCP post covers what a merchant has to fix before October.
The AWS announcement is about adjacency. Bedrock models in Agentforce now, Salesforce data inside Amazon Quick now, AWS’s DevOps agent in Slack now, Data 360 zero copy extended to Glue and S3 Iceberg tables, Aurora, RDS and SageMaker Lakehouse, and a live voice handoff between Amazon Connect and Agentforce Voice dated for the fall.
Salesforce is also in the AWS Marketplace in 33 countries with spend commitments counting. The AWS post sorts the seven items by date.
Customer 360, product by product
Benioff and Stokes ran through nine product areas in a single segment, and the coverage of each is thin, so I am giving you what was said rather than what I can verify in a document.
Commerce Cloud gets Carter, the shopper agent, agentic commerce search, and the Google checkout above. The Shopper, Buyer and Merchant agents were already GA in June.
Field Service gets the always-on Scheduling Agent and multi-language Voice to Form, where a technician fills a form by talking. Both extend what I described in Agentforce for Field Service.
IT Service Management adds a CMDB and a service graph, which addresses the thin spot I flagged in the IT Service post. Revenue Cloud gets revenue skills and MCP tools on top of the agentic quoting already there. Marketing gets a campaign agent.
Headless B2B commerce and a frontline workforce product in Slack round it out; Slack Frontline, a mobile-first experience for retail, manufacturing and healthcare staff, is in preview per Slack’s own announcement.
If one of those is your product, watch the release notes rather than this paragraph. Most of these will arrive as Winter ‘27 or Spring ‘27 features with proper documentation.
The names went back
The one announcement everyone will feel in a search box: Salesforce dropped “Agentforce” from the application names it added last year. Agentforce Sales is Sales Cloud again, Agentforce Service is Service Cloud, and so on for Marketing and Commerce. Agentforce is the agent platform, the clouds are the clouds.
The rename reversal post has the full 2026 name map, which you will need because the Winter ‘27 release notes were written before the reversal.
Admins, Slack, and public sector
For admins, the practical list is Builder Central free in every org and in beta from the week of September 21, Quick Pages in beta in October, Coworker’s AI Skills going GA in October, a new Security Center Essentials dashboard, a Compliance Agent in Privacy Center, and out-of-the-box MCP connections to Slack, Teams, Claude and ChatGPT. Dreamforce 2026 for admins sequences them against the Winter ‘27 upgrade weekends, and the Builder Central post covers the one that is already here.
Slack’s own numbers were large: Slackbot now joins channels as a teammate with more than a million monthly active users, Slack Code has code channels with agents from Anthropic, Cognition, GitHub, Vercel and OpenAI, and two-way voice with Slackbot is due in the fall. Claude is the default model underneath.
For public sector, Missionforce added a Policy Engine, an Operations product and Field Operations, with OpenAI models through Bedrock in Government Cloud and NVIDIA for on-premise model work. The TSA’s Ace agent, built on Government Cloud, is the reference: Salesforce says it handles around 100,000 conversations a month and resolves 96% of routine questions without escalation. Those are Salesforce’s and the TSA’s figures.
What was not announced
No new Agentforce pricing. The Core, Advanced and Max editions from September 3 stand, and every announcement above carries the usual line that pricing and packaging are subject to change. No price for Salesforce in Claude, either, and consumption on that plugin runs on two meters, your Salesforce entitlement and your Anthropic contract. And no date for the unified Harness experience beyond “early fiscal FY28”, which is 2027 in calendar terms.
What to do Monday
For an admin: assign the Builder Central permission set to the people who already hold Modify All Data, and nobody else yet. Confirm session tracing and the Trust Layer audit collection are on, so Agent Optimizer has something to read in October. Then get through your Winter ‘27 test list before the second upgrade weekend on October 2.
For a builder: decide whether your next agent is a named one you configure or one you build, using the named-agents decision. Split any mega-topic into routes, because both Optimizer and the long-horizon runtime reward explicit routing. If you are on AWS, map your Data 360 sources against the new zero-copy list.
For a buyer: if sales wants Salesforce in Claude, run the four-week pilot in a preview sandbox rather than turning it on for everyone. If you sell on Commerce Cloud, fix the Merchant Center feed before October. And if someone asks whether you need Koa, the answer is that you cannot get it yet, and when you can, it will be US-only to start.
Understanding the basics
When was Dreamforce 2026?
September 15 to 17, 2026, at Moscone Center in San Francisco. Salesforce reported more than 50,000 in-person attendees and more than 122,000 viewers on Salesforce+.
What were the biggest announcements at Dreamforce 2026?
AIforce, an interface layer that puts Salesforce data and permissions inside Claude, Slack and other tools. Koa, Salesforce’s own CRM reasoning model, in pilot. Seven named agents, six generally available and Hunter in pilot. Expanded Google Cloud and AWS partnerships. And the reversal of last year’s Agentforce application names back to Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and the rest.
Is Koa available now?
No. Koa is in pilot with select customers, and Salesforce expects general availability in winter 2026 in US regions. Customers whose data residency is outside the US should not plan on it for 2026.
Did Dreamforce 2026 announce new Agentforce pricing?
No. The Core, Advanced and Max editions announced on September 3 remain the pricing structure, and no price was published for Salesforce in Claude or for Koa.
Read it as a ledger
Very little of Dreamforce 2026 arrives on a single day. The named agents shipped the week before. Claudeforce moved from pilot to beta. Koa, Hunter, Optimizer, Quick Pages, Hyperforce on Google Cloud and the Connect handoff all have dates between October and winter. The Harness is 2027.
So read the three days as a ledger of what changed and when, not as a launch. The things you can act on this month are the free ones and the switches: Builder Central, session tracing, the permission review that every headless connection now depends on. Do those, and the dated items arrive into an org that is ready for them.
If you want the Dreamforce list turned into a plan for your org, with the October dates sequenced against your Winter ‘27 weekend, talk to us, or start with the Agentforce readiness assessment.
